Coho salmon can be caught in the outer waters of the Douglas Channel in mid July.  Clients usually book overnight trips in July and combine Coho,Chinook and Halibut on the same trip.  August is the month for Coho in the all parts of the Douglas Channel.
Coho arrive in the Kitimat Harbour fishery in early August and can be caught in this fishery into early September.

September is the month for Coho fishing in the Kitimat River. Coho can also be caught in the Kildala River in September. The Gilltwees River Coho is a little earlier than the Kitimat, and Kildala and Coho can be caught in August in the Gilltwees.
