Kitimat is located at the headwaters of the Douglas Channel. The Douglas Channel forms the end of B.C’s longest inland fjord. Fish the deep blue waters of the Douglas in the shadows of majestic snow capped mountains. See Killer Whales, Humpback whales, Porpoises, Seals and Sea Lions. See the rare Kermode Bear. Bathe in the mineral rich waters of natural hot springs. We also offer sightseeing tours.

The Douglas Channel is well known for some of the best sport fishing on the B.C Coast. Over a hundred feeder creeks and rivers produce migrating salmon in the Douglas Channel. We fish for Trophy Chinook, Silver Coho, Chum and Pink Salmon.

HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR SALTWATER CHARTERS

Bottomfish for huge halibut. The largest halibut on record was caught by Gary Schett 391lbs. A week later his fishing partner, Dennis caught a 341lb. Fishing for halibut is like a lottery. You can catch Big Halibut or small when you send the line down. The important issue is that you are in the game.

Ling Cod, Snapper, Rock Cod and Grey Cod can also be caught bottomfishing the Douglas Channel. Crab and Prawns are an added bonus for all of our Salt Water Trips.
